Allie and Wesley are getting hitched :)

Well...Daniel is finally getting a brother, and an amazing one at that! Daniel's sister Allie got engaged last week to Wesley, and we could not be more excited for the two of them! They are perfect for each other and we can't wait for the big day!! They have not set an official date but are thinking July 14th of next summer.

 Wesley proposed last Wednesday night, May 25th, and it was a wonderful night. Wesley and Allie were supposed to be going to dinner with his brother and Nana, but when Wesley went pick her up he proposed! She was very surprised :) Then they drove to his parents house where both families and lots of friends were anxiously waiting! Here are some pictures of the special night...

I will just add that Allie is going to be the most beautiful bride ever! 

Oh and...with Angela McKinney and Allie planning this wedding... it will be the most beautiful wedding ever!  Look forward to many blog post about the upcoming wedding festivities! 

Oak Street Block Party

We are so blessed to live on an amazing street in Trussville with great neighbors and friends!  The street always does a progressive dinner at Christmas time but we thought it was a great idea to have a summer block party!  So we all gathered in our driveway and grilled out hamburgers/hot dogs, had lots of good southern sides, cold beer, and of course... homemade ice cream!!

What's a block party without fresh lemonade, ice water, and sweet tea :) 

 

 Then all the kids decided it was a good idea to have a water-balloon fight... Odds vs. Evens (one side of the street against the other)

I am slightly obsessed with these shoes! I have been looking for some nude wedges that are comfortable for a long time and FINALLY found some! I got them yesterday and I am so excited!
